An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright individual with strong cash accounting skills to join our client, a world leading and highly reputable organisation. As the UK Cash Accountant you will be familiar with the following:
-Updating and maintaining the cashbooks, reconciling cash & bank balances monthly.
-Booking journals to reflect financial activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
-Making inter-company payment runs on a monthly basis.
-Allocating cash on a daily basis using automated bank statement processing.
-Providing timely and accurate statutory and management reporting.
-Participating in regular balance-sheet reviews and variance analyses.
-Working closely with the treasury team, reviewing and reconciling all hedging transactions.
Working towards your ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualification the successful applicant will ideally be degree educated and have a minimum of 4 years accounting or finance experience. You will also have good Excel skills, with strong financial systems skills (Oracle, SAP, Cognos or Business Objects). Additionally you will have excellent communication skills and able to deal with all levels of management. Experience of working within a global business environment with sound understanding of transactional flows and SOX, GAAP exposure is ideal.
